Clinical Child Psychologist

Community Mental Health Central – Simcoe

Regular, Full-Time


Job Summary: 

The Child Clinical Psychologist will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and will provide a broad range of psychological assessment and treatment services for children, adolescents and their families. The successful candidate will also provide education and clinical consultation to Kinark staff, as well as community agencies and local schools, as required.



  • A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology is required.
  • Be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.  
  • Candidates in the process of registration with the College who anticipate becoming supervised practice members within 8 months of their employment date with Kinark will be considered.
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills in child and adolescent mental health.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience, proven communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Knowledge concerning program evaluation, cultural diversity and proficiency in other languages will be considered assets for this position.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical. 
  • Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
