Child and Youth Workers - Relief Positions

Day Treatment & Residential - Peterborough Program

 Relief Pay Grid: $23.37- $24.53 - $25.76


Job Summary:

We currently have Child and Youth Worker – Relief positions available in our Peterborough program area.  Child and Youth Workers provide support in our community based treatment residences, day treatment classrooms, one-on-one support work with individual children, as well as group work.   You will also be a contributing member of our multi-disciplinary teams.  These positions are covered by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 2860.  The relief positions have no guarantee of weekly hours and all positions must be available to work evenings, overnights and weekends. 



  • Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or equivalent post secondary education
  • Current and valid First Aid/CPR Level C Certificate
  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Must have a valid  Ontario driver’s license
  • Satisfactory current and local Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical
  • Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
