We currently have an opportunity for a:

Instructor Therapist

Central East Autism Program

Temporary, Full-Time – 35 hours/week (1 year contract)




Job Summary:

We currently have opportunities available in York Region, for Instructor Therapists in intensive behavioural intervention, providing services for children and youth with autism.  In these positions you will be working with children and youth in clinic, centre and classroom based settings, both one-on-one and in small groups.


Duties & Responsibilities:

o    Deliver direct service

o    Prepare teaching materials

o    Monitor the learner’s progress

o    Participate in treatment planning and reporting

o    Liaise with parents



o    Community college diploma or a University degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, autism and behaviour science, early childhood education). 

o    Minimum 1 year Intensive Behavioural Intervention experience would be an asset.

o    Travel is required for this position; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars.

o    Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical. 

o    Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
