Temporary, Full-Time – 35 hours*week (One year contract with possibility for extension)

Job Summary:

As a Program Manager for Autism Services, you will work with the management team, clinical staff, community partners and private providers to improve systems processes and procedures and to ensure an effective, supportive, and efficient service flow for clients from intake to transition.  In particular you will operationally support all aspects of service delivery related to the Connections for Students program for families transitioning from Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) into school. You will support staff who offer service to families on the waitlist for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).  Liaison and collaboration with a school boards as well as a range of community partners and participation in partnership and community meetings will be an important element of the position.

 

Furthermore, you will participate in the operational management of services to ensure consistent implementation of provincial guidelines and agency policies, vacancy management, administrative health and safety and accreditation standards.  In addition, you will aid in the development of a range of programs to improve systems and processes for client families.

 

Qualifications:

As a successful applicant you:

  • Will hold either Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (preferred) in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis or related field
  • Will have a minimum of three years’ experience at a management level and a minimum of five years’ direct experience working with children or youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Will have familiarity with the OAP Program Guidelines, Clinical Framework, as well as other relevant legislation
  • Will possess strong interpersonal and problem solving skills as well as the ability to develop and foster collaborative community service partnerships
  • Must be able to design, implement and manage systems processes in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Must possess advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite
  • Travel is required for this position, the successful incumbent must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical
  • Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration
