We currently have an opportunity for a:

Clinical Supervisor

 Autism Services - York/Durham regions

Temporary, Full-Time Position - 35 hours/week (contract until March 31, 2018)

 

Job Summary:

Reporting to an Associate Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the development of  a range of service options for children needing a part-time behaviour analytic program.  You will conduct or supervise various curricula and behavioural assessments and develop each child’s curriculum based on the assessment in conjunctions with the family’s goals.  You will ensure effective evidence-based and ethical practices are delivered in accordance with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) guidelines.

 

Duties & Responsibilities may include:

  • Oversight of staff implementing the child’s programming
  • Responsibility for making clinical recommendations for children receiving these services
  • Provision of clinical supervision, training, and evaluation of staff
  • Working collaboratively with Family Support Workers and others involved with child / family team
  • Provision and supervision of parent coaching
  • Writing reports and provide feedback to parents on the assessment findings
  • Chairing and attending clinical meetings
  • Maintaining and organizing all administrative functions in support of service delivery
  • Remaining updated on current literature regarding evidence based practices and undertake research to present at conferences and/or for publication

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed a Masters Degree in psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis and be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis or Intensive Behavioural Intervention approaches for the treatment of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Previous experience as a clinical supervisor in the Autism Services program is considered an asset
  • You will be able to demonstrate a collaborative and diverse approach to working with both internal and external personnel at all levels
  • Travel is required for this position, the successful incumbent must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars
  • Some evening or weekend work may be required
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical
  • Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration
  • Some evening / weekend work may be required
