We currently have an opportunity for a:

Child Clinical Psychologist

Community Mental Health East – Durham Program (Whitby)

  Temporary, Full-Time – 35 hours/week (approximately 1 year contract starting Summer/Fall 2017)

 

Job Summary: 

The Child Clinical Psychologist will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, and will provide a broad range of psychological assessment and treatment services for children, adolescents and their families. The successful candidate will also provide clinical consultation to Kinark staff as well as community agencies and local schools as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology is required.
  • Be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Psychologists of OntarioCandidates in the process of registration with the College who anticipate becoming supervised practice members within 6 months of their employment date with Kinark will be considered.
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills in child and adolescent mental health.

  • Demonstrated clinical experience, proven communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team member.

  • Knowledge concerning program evaluation, cultural diversity and proficiency in other languages will be considered assets for this position.

  • Travel is required for this position, the successful candidate must have a valid  Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical. 
  • Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
