We currently have an opportunity for a:

Client Services Supervisor – Durham Program

Temporary, Full-Time – 35 hours/week (12 months contract)



Job Summary:

As a leader and motivator, your clinical expertise and interpersonal strengths will help ensure the effective operation of our Family Intervention Services. The Client Services Supervisor is a member of the Community Mental Health (CMH) East management team. Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, the Client Services Supervisor will provide clinical leadership and supervision to Case Managers, Clinical Therapists and Child and Youth Workers. In addition, the Client Services Supervisor will be responsible for program planning, effective coordination of services, interagency and community development.



  • Masters of Social Work (MSW) Degree required.
  • Member and in good standing with Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a children’s mental health setting or a related children’s services field
  • Supervisory and leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in child/family assessment, family, group and individual therapy interventions, case management and working with inter-disciplinary teams
  • Solid understanding of evidence based practice, intensive milieu treatment programs and experience working with complex children/families
  • Experience serving diverse communities is an important asset
  • Travel is required for this position; the successful incumbent must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical
  • Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration
