We currently have an opportunity for a:

Child and Youth Worker - Relief

Residential - Simcoe Program


*The successful candidate will be required to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings and weekends. 

Hourly Rate: $23.55 – $25.01 - $26.17




Summary of Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Residential Supervisor, the Child and Youth Worker will be responsible for behaviour management, community outreach, maintaining a therapeutic environment in a milieu setting and carrying out primary care worker responsibilities. There is no guarantee of hours as a Relief employee, and you must be available for all shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.  


Qualifications and Skills:

·         A Child and Youth Worker diploma

·         Minimum three years related experience

·         A current valid First Aid/CPR Level C certificate

·         Must have ability to participate in and complete in UMAB (Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour) orientation and refresher trainings as condition of employment.

·         Valid Ontario driver’s license.

·         Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical.

·         Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
