We currently have an opportunity for a:

 Business and Administrative Manager

 Central East Autism Program

Temporary, Full-Time – 35 hours/week (8 month contract)


Job Summary:

The Business and Administrative Manager will have a dual-reporting relationship with the Director of Finance and the Program Director for Central East Autism Program.  The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team in providing leadership within the CEAP Program.  This position is responsible for the administrative operation of the Program by supporting the work of the front line administrative staff, and providing a quality assurance lens.  


The core responsibilities and duties of the position include operations and management leadership, such as:

  • Responsible for all client records, intake, assessment bookings/scheduling and reception functions.
  • Manage/maintain the client funding processes (contracts, customer service, paperwork) prior to payment processing.
  • Oversight and administrative management of all office operations and clerical requirements.
  • Responsible for the management and safeguarding of client files and compliancy with accreditation standards.
  • Health and Safety and property oversight at program sites.
  • Management of Legiant and supervisory functions for direct reports.
  • Back up of Business Manager, Autism – Financial.



o     Post-secondary diploma with specialization in Finance and Administration, or equivalent.

o    Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with budgets in a not-for-profit sector at a management level.

o    Direct supervisory experience is required.

o    Experience in Children’s Mental Health considered an asset.

o    Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.

o    Travel is required for this position; the successful incumbent must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars.

o    Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical.

o    Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
