Supervised Access Centre (SAC) Workers - Relief

Simcoe & Muskoka Programs

Locations: Orillia, Bracebridge, Huntsville

Main Office - Barrie

Pay Grid: $20.22-$21.18-$22.23




Job Summary:

Reporting to the Coordinator, Supervised Access Programs, the SAC Worker is responsible to facilitate a safe and enjoyable visit between children and their visiting relatives in a neutral supervised location.   The SAC Worker will facilitate; monitor and observe on-site visits between children and the non-custodial/visiting parent and will supervise the transfer of children from the custodial/residential to the non-custodial/visiting parent for unsupervised off-site access visits.  In addition, the incumbent will document factual observations of visits; maintain client files according to the program’s policies and procedures, assist in maintenance of the centre and equipment and attend meetings and trainings as required.  As this is a Relief position, there is no guarantee of hours. The successful candidate will be required to work weekends and may be required to work evenings.  



·         College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Services field.

·         Current and valid First Aid/CPR Level C certificate.

·         Minimum 2 years’ recent related experience.

·         Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, organizational, written and oral communication skills.

·         Computer competency is required.

·         Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical.  

·         Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
