We currently have an opportunity for a:

 Business and Administrative Manager

 Community Mental Health (CMH) East

Peterborough Program

Regular, Full-Time – 35 hours/week

 

Job Summary:

The Business and Administrative Manager will have a dual-reporting relationship with the Director of Finance and the Program Director for Community Mental Health East.  The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor in providing leadership within the Northumberland Program.  This position is responsible for the administrative operation of the Program by managing financial approval and verification responsibilities, supporting the work of the front line staff from an administrative perspective, and providing a quality assurance lens.  

 

The core responsibilities and duties of the position include operations and management leadership, such as:

o    Assist in the development of annual and long term financial planning for the Program.

o    Assist in variance analysis, reporting, and on-going analysis and monitoring of the budget and expenditures.

o    Leadership and direction of the day to day administrative and financial processes which includes oversight of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

o    Responsibility for vetting and verifying statistical external reporting requirements Management and maintenance of the inventory of all assets for Northumberland.

o    Oversight and management of the day to day office operations.

o    Client file management and records retention.

o    Coordinate business machinery for the Program.

o    Analysis of service activity and monitoring of benchmarks, working with the Clinical Supervisor in supporting staff in achieving service targets and delivering a quality service.

o    Management of HR related areas (e.g. approval of time cards, new hire orientation).

o    Represents Kinark at community meetings.

 

Qualifications:

o     Post-secondary diploma with specialization in Finance and Administration, or equivalent.

o    Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with budgets in a not-for-profit sector at a management level.

o    Direct supervisory experience is required.

o    Experience in Children’s Mental Health considered an asset.

o    Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.

o    Travel is required for this position; the successful incumbent must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars.

o    Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical.

o    Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
