We currently have opportunities for:

Family Resource and Support Coordinator

Central East Autism Program (CEAP)

Temporary, Full-Time – 35 hours*week (until March 31, 2018)

  

Job Summary:

As the Family Resource and Support Coordinator for the Central East Autism Program (CEAP), you will work under the supervision of the Program Manager, CEAP. This contract position is to support families on the waitlist for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Your responsibilities will include extensive contact with families, in person and by phone, to offer guidance and support as they await services in the OAP.  This contract position may involve evening and weekend work to meet family availability.

 

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):

o    liaise with the administrative and clinical teams to support families as needed

o    remain in regular contact with families on the OAP waitlist

o    assist families in accessing available resources and supports in the community

o    assist families in the process of receiving an offer of Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) services

o    perform administrative tasks as required

o    Travel as required

 

Qualifications:

o    community college diploma or a university degree in a related field (e.g., psychology)

o    knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Applied Behaviour Analysis

o    knowledge of other service providers in the former Central East Region of the Province (York Region Durham Region , Simcoe County and Four Counties)

o    proven experience working with families of children with special needs and delivering adult education

o    excellent communication and organizational skills

o    computer competency

o    valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to be able to work at various locations across the Central East Region of the province
